WELCOME TO THE MAN DISADVANTAGE

Welcome to yet an additional online domicile of one of the greatest teams in NHL history. This home is completely different then any other website that centers on the team that dwells inside that glorious stadium that is Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum or NVMC as I like to refer to it as. I will list said differences now:

First we will only refer to the New York Islanders as “THE DERS”. From now on every article that is written here will refer to that New York hockey team who play their games at NVMC as “THE DERS”. (If you wish to participate and aide our attempt to make “THE DERS” a household term, feel free, you have my permission) We will also refer the other, less gifted, New York team as “the gers”. However their abbreviated name shall not be capitalized due to their support of Satan (not Miroslav) and their alternative lifestyle.

Next, this website will be written by myself and a select few of fellow DERs aficionados. Since neither I nor my colleagues have ever written on this “present fad” that is the World Wide Web, this website is automatically unique, and is already, without a post, the best place to get your, up to the minute*, DERs information.

I guess other then these two facts; this will be pretty much the same as the many other blogs written about THE DERS. So, all that being said, I hope that you will enjoy my mostly pessimistic views, ideas and comments regarding the DERS and their current situation.

* This web site will not be up to the minute due to the writers inability to write every day for the reason that we all have lives and other responsibilities that do not revolve around providing you people with DERS information.
